Steve Wells podiums at the Tour de Syracuse May 22nd

Entering a Category 4 Crit race with a field of 75 of the best class specific racers from upstate New York can be a daunting enough task. Now try it without any teammates and the job gets exponentially harder! Steve Wells not only covered multiple attacks during the main event, but went on the offensive with 12 laps to go. Flying solo he left the main group, hunted down the breakaway, quickly recovered and launched his own counter measure. Coming up inches short in the end but nevertheless an awesome 2nd place finish!

His momentum continued the next day as Steve participated in a Category 3/4 and 4/5 event Criterium in Pennsylvania with a 3rd and 2nd place finish respectively. Making it a perfect podium weekend! Congrats Steve!

Steve ‘Dash’ Wells wins again! Langford, NY BBC Team Road Race Series

BBC racers were greeted with a perfect morning to race bicycles in Western New York on May 16th, and the club took full advantage by showing up in force. With an estimated 80 total riders split in two groups the stage was set for our second scheduled team race of the new season. With valuable season points on the line team Ingram Micro Cycling/Tom’s Pro Bike Category 4 team went right to work with a series of relentless attacks by Tony Hoffman. Riding behind a perfectly timed lead out by Dave “Hawksye” Hawks, Mr. Wells was able to kick his way to the finish line unchallenged for his second race win in as many tries

And unlike last weekend's result Steve unleashed his final 40 m kick and easily won the Catagory 4 road race in Arcade, New York on May 1st. This was Steve's first road race win and he can now add this to his growing collection of Crit wins from this and last year.
